Mistubishi Chemical of Japan and Soarus LLC have developed an exciting low temperature polymeric diverting agent for the oil and gas industry. The product is designed to be a temporary diverting agent that provides temporary isolation to be used in well clean outs, new well completions, and, LCM and refrac applications. The G-Vert dissolves in 1 to 10 days at water temperatures of 120 t.o 250℉. The higher the temperature, the faster the dissolution rate. Once the product is in solution, it will not re-solidify if the temperature decreases, eliminating the issues caused with other diverting agents at well clean-out. The product is compatible with most well treatment fluids and production chemicals and can be added using existing pumping equipment. This diverting agent is non-toxic and biodegradable. Under dry conditions, the product remains a free-flowing mixture in all ambient temperatures.
