United Soybean Board (USB), a U.S. farmer-led organization, funds research to develop and commercialize new industrial products using biobased chemical derivatives from U.S.-grown soybeans. Renewable by nature, U.S. Soy is used as a raw material, including new high oleic soybean oil. Advantages include performance, versatility, cost and sustainability. USB is funding research into new surfactants, and initial results show improved oil recovery in shale. Available products include hydraulic fluids, lithium greases, chain and cable lubricants, and drilling fluid additives.
