SHALECOMM - Real time wireless downhole gauges for the acquistion of downhole information such as pressure, temperature, fluid identification, vibration and strain. The system uses acoustic waves to carry digital information from downhole to the surface using the pipe as the conduit for the acoustic energy. The system uses batteries or a downhole power generator to provide power for the operation of the downhole gauges. A surface system converts the acoustic energy to electrical energy for processing by the surface data acquisition module. The data is diplayed in real time and can be transferred to other systems via ModBus and Internet.
The downhole wireless gauges can also be deployed for service work in frac/gravel pack applications for real time data transfer to the surface.
