Resoptima: Providing actionable reservoir intelligence

Resoptima removes the traditional limitations of reservoir modelling by unlocking the power of subsurface data. We integrate all data sources to create an ensemble of reservoir models that capture subsurface uncertainty in a way that transforms data and physics into actionable insights.

  • ResX
ResX allows teams to embrace uncertainties in reservoir modelling and history matching. Built on ensemble-based methods, ResX builds geologically consistent reservoir models that are history matched and used for production forecasts....

  • ResX is the software that makes truly integrated reservoir modelling possible. Ultimately, integrated modelling is not just about a better management of the interfaces between disciplines or having a single platform where all disciplines can work. Integrated modelling is a modelling paradigm where all data that informs the subsurface understanding can be integrated in a consistent workflow, so that models are a reasonable representation using data from all subsurface disciplines.

ResX allows subsurface teams to embrace uncertainties in the reservoir modelling and history matching process. ResX is built from the ground up on ensemble-based methods, where the full range of geologically consistent reservoir models are history matched and used as a basis for production forecasts. By continuous data conditioning of static and dynamic data, ResX dramatically increases your team’s efficiency, freeing up time to explore better options for reservoir management or to perform more analysis to learn about your reservoir.

  • 4D seismic module
The module enables a 4D seismic data history matching workflow. It has unique flexibility to adapt to the specifics of each project. It can include third-party components. The module increases utilization of 4D data for reservoir characterization....

  • In the ResX objective function 4D seismic data is represented as a 2D surface. Multiple surfaces can be included, for example one per extraction window and per time-lapse interval. When used in an ensemble-based study, the output of the 4D workflow is an ensemble of reservoir models that are consistent with static, production and 4D seismic data, while capturing uncertainty. This leads to better decision-making for assets employing 4D seismic data. Putting you in a better position to increase higher ultimate recovery.

The ability to select the response to be used offers the ability for the users to adopt the matching data best adapted to the project’s objectives. Likewise, the choice of domain offers flexibility. For example, it is generally quicker to move an interpretation of measured data into the simulation space to make comparisons there, but if time and resources are available, simulator results can be processed and made available for comparison in the seismic domain.
  • IRMA
IRMA facilitates reservoir management and optimization work using ensembles of models. It is built to enable uncertainty-centric modelling to become a reality- to make it as easy to work with 100’s of models as it is to work with a single case....

  • IRMA is defining the industry standard for how to manage and store ensembles. It can ingest and manage your ensemble data, whether it comes from ResX or from other ensemble sources. Applications in IRMA deploy analytics, data exploration, machine learning, optimization, and visualization techniques to enable you to easily use ensembles of models to explore the subsurface, identifying new opportunities and their associated risks.

IRMA is also an open platform built on a microservice-oriented architecture which is deployed in a cloud environment. The services connect to data sources via open APIs and are accessed by users through a modern web interface. Because of its openness, IRMA can be used to create new fit-for-purpose applications to address an asset team’s specific modelling and decision requirements.
