Energi Simulation is a not-for-profit organization based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Its vision is ‘creating a more sustainable energy future through simulation research’ with a mission to ‘promote and fund university research in energy resource modelling with industry collaboration and technology transfer’.
Energi Simulation’s Research Chair programs are established all around the globe, with former and current chairs in Canada, USA, Brazil, China, Norway, United Kingdom, Australia, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Through this international approach to supporting research in different parts of the world, Energi Simulation’s aim is to address global challenges in the energy transition to Net-Zero, such as reducing carbon emissions, maintaining sustainable practices, and addressing society’s energy needs.
Since 2008, Energi Simulation has contributed over $50 million Canadian, with industry matching funds of over $200 million, to research chair programs and projects, and graduated over 1,000 PhD and Master’s degree students.
