The NEWTON SYSTEM incorporates downhole sensors that record gamma, tubing pressure, annulus pressure, temperature, gravity toolface, vibration and inclination. The tool can be programmed to transmit measurement data to surface, wirelessly, from any sensors at specified intervals. All data are stored in the tool’s memory for post-well analysis.
The tool codes its sensor data into pressure pulses that travel in the fluid column, up to surface. This data can be used to correlate depth in real-time, indicate which lateral a string is located, provide downhole breakdown and treating pressures, and more.
Real-time display of radioactive tags improves depth correlation and eliminates the need for additional memory or prep runs.
The NEWTON SYSTEM is made up in the BHA without any need for running fiber or wires downhole. At 2-3/8", it fits into virtually any BHA.
