Welcome to XACT - real-time data for drilling & completions.

The XACT™ Network enables clients to reduce risk and improve efficiency in almost any drilling or completion environment. Proprietary acoustic telemetry technology transmits high value drilling or completion data (weight, torque, bending, annular & bore pressures & temperatures) to surface from multiple, distributed measurement nodes in real-time.

  • This weekend, the XACT team will be on their way to “The Alamo City” for the 2017 Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE). The event, which runs October 9-11 in San Antonio, Texas, will host a variety of sessions led by industry experts who showcase the latest advancements in technology and the upcoming trends across a number of technical disciplines.

During the conference, our real-time experts Sergio Aguilar and Andy Hawthorn, will present two papers highlighting XACT’s first-hand experience using the acoustic telemetry network in deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The first, which will be presented as an ePoster by Sergio Aguilar on Monday at 3:15 p.m., will showcase an in-depth overview of how real-time downhole data during completion operations has a direct impact on well control, efficiency and productivity.

Andy Hawthorn will deliver the second presentation which will take place in the Advances in Directional Drilling Innovation session and will concentrate on multiple real-time applications that now have access to downhole data during well operations. It will highlight XACT’s technology and the ability to gather real-time data during tripping and riserless drilling, while running casing and cementing. It also demonstrates how XACT was used to control fluid levels during perforation and completion operations in underbalanced wells. To learn more stop by room 217a on Tuesday at 11:05 a.m.

Throughout the exhibition, XACT will also highlight the value of knowing exactly what is going on downhole in critical moments of completion installation.

“These industry-first real-time data sets show how conventional surface data and associated models can be considerably at variance from what is actually happening downhole. Imagine how this can change your real-time decision-making, influencing efficiency, safety and ultimately productivity,” said Andy Hawthorn, Director of Solutions and Intellectual Property at XACT.
